The ANAFIMA - National Association of Manufacturers of Musical Instruments began its activities on August 15, 2001, by the necessity that a small group of companies to discuss, analyze and find solutions to problems and situations common to the manufacturing sector of Brazilian musical instruments. Since then, this has been its single focus: the Brazilian industry of musical instruments.

The main objectives of ANAFIMA are:
- Capacitate and stimulate the development of industry of musical instruments in the competitive attributes that are critical to exporting and in various business activities, social and cultural rights.
- Provide an instrument of articulation, mobilization and coordination of industry of musical instruments, with a view to their competitive skills and, consequently, the construction of an entrepreneurial culture exports.
- Work for the growth of the market from developing programs to private schools and officers supporting teachers, musicians, bands, churches, etc..
- Divulging the sector: includes actions related to the creation of instruments to disseminate the Brazilian musical instruments industry, through the arrival of foreign journalists to visit the Brazilian industry and participation in international fairs, spins and business projects through the buyer and seller, made with the support of the Apex Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments.

The ANAFIMA today represents the majority of Brazilian musical instruments industry, making the harmony among small, medium and large enterprises, to exchange experiences both in the commercial area, such as administrative and industrial.
